Wendy and Tony Thompson guarantee you a warm welcome when you stay at this traditional 18th century farmhouse in Westbury-sub-Mendip, a delightful West Country village within easy reach of Wells, Bristol, Bristol International Airport, Bath, Cheddar, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury, Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare, Clark’s Village at Street, the Bath and West Showground at Shepton Mallet, and the Mendip Hills.
Built of local stone, Stoneleigh House has many interesting features, including flagstone floors, old beams and wood panelling. The house has a southerly aspect which makes the rooms bright and full of light whenever the sun is shining.
We have a large typical cottage garden, full of colour during the summer months.
The village has an excellent pub, "The Westbury", within a few minutes walk of us, which has a wide-ranging menu. There is also a lively village shop/post office and lovely church.
